Helping Hands Volunteer Program
Dixon Intermediate has a very active
volunteer program. Each grade level and all of the
special areas
are very appreciative of the many great volunteers! A volunteer orientation is held in the first weeks of
school, kicking off the program.
Dixon has received the Golden
School Award from the Florida Department of Education for having an outstanding,
active volunteer program for many years.
One volunteer in particular donated her time and talent to
beautify our school. Elaine Woodward, artist and past parent, has painted three large
murals that adorn our school cafeteria. She also has painted the "street
signs" that mark our hallways. We appreciate all of her efforts in the
beautification of Dixon Intermediate School.

The late Mrs. Violet Dudney, known as "Miss Vi", constructed and donated these wonderful puzzles on display in our main hallway! She was one of our beloved senior volunteers. |
