| After School and Summer Tutoring | Tutoring assistance is offered to a limited number of students after school during the school year and during the summer. The available tutoring is offered to those struggling students most in need of assistance. Parents must provide pick-up for after school tutoring, while limited bus pick-up is provided for summer tutoring. |
| Student Government Association (SGA) |
Dixon's SGA consists of representatives from each class.
SGA focuses on community based projects. We recently collected and
donated 170 pounds of pop tabs to help the Ronald McDonald House. Pop
tab collection is a year round project that everyone can participate in. We
also work with an assisted living facility in Milton. Students make
colorful art projects for the residents to display and enjoy. At the
end of the SGA takes a field trip to the facility to interview and read to
the residents. |

Pace High Student
Mentors/Partnership |
Each year, football players, basketball players, and members of the Pace Leadership Class serve as "mentors" or "buddies" to students in our school. This partnership is good for both students in our school receiving support and from the Pace High student volunteers. We are the "Jr. Patriots" and enjoy our connection with the high school. |
| Chorus | The
Chorus at Dixon Intermediate has been a wonderful tradition that has lead
many students into further musical adventures! The chorus is comprised
of 5th grade students who have a genuine love for singing.
Every year, several select students of the chorus are
chosen to participate in the Santa Rosa All County Honor Chorus. These
students have shown great leadership in music, character, and academics.
They perform with other schools in the county each spring. |

Parent Resource Center |
Our Parent Resource Center is located in the lobby of the guidance area in our school. Please feel free to browse the selection of parenting books and materials. Books may be checked out on the honor system. Include your telephone number, name, and date of checkout when completing the checkout card. Place the card in the checkout file box alphabetically (first initial of your last name). Please return the book within two weeks (cross through you name on the checkout card, place it in the pocket inside the book cover, and return the book to the shelf). You may also send a note by your child to the teacher, requesting any book in the Parent Resource Library. |
