Welcome to the Dixon Library Media Center!

The Dixon Library houses over 13,000 books and resources for our students and teachers.  These materials enhance the curriculum and promote a love of reading and learning in our students.

Classes come to the media center on an assigned color day for whole class instruction with Mrs. Clapper.  Students may also come on any other day in order to check out books.

Goals for the upcoming school year include introducing new technology to our students.  In addition to learning about library information skills, we will be "going digital" through the use of QR codes, iPads, and a variety of educational applications and websites.  Our library media center is a busy, bustling place!

Special events planned this year include fall and spring Scholastic Book Fairs, Reading Isn't Scary Family Night in October, Florida Literacy Week activities in January, Sunshine State Young Reader book vote in March, and the introduction of Makerspaces throughout the year.  More information coming on all activities.

Scholastic Book Fair

Book Fairs are the primary fundraiser source for the library.  The funds from the fairs are used to purchase books and materials that enhance the library media center.  Thank you for your continued support for our program.

We will have two Scholastic Book Fairs during the 2018-2019 school year!
