A true servant leader, this SREY goes well beyond
her normal work duties to support students, staff, our school, and her
community. When the school had a critical need for a paraprofessional to
manage the technology needs and production room, she was willing to rise to the
challenge. With a heart for working with children, she continues to
support students by being the first caring face our students see each morning at
parent drop off and closing car doors in the afternoon with a warm smile and
good-bye wave.
As the Educational Support chair on the Leadership
Team, she keeps her department abreast of new information and is the biggest
cheerleader to boost morale. When there is a staff shortage, this angel works
with colleagues to adjust schedules to ensure students are staff and being
provided with the best education. Often, if a classroom needs coverage,
she is the staff member to volunteer, power walking down the halls lightning
fast.
With each school event, our SREY is the one in the
early morning, placing flags and decorations outside for Veterans Day,
displaying banners, and setting up tables for our assembly to recognize hundreds
of local veterans and active duty men and women. From setting up for
band/chorus performances, to hanging garland for the holidays, her dedication to
creating a warm learning environment is visible across our campus.
Punctual, positive, and attentive to the needs of others, this SREY deserves all
the recognition to be the SREY for Santa Rosa County!
