When Covid-19 hit, our nominee stepped up to ensure that the students at our
school received all necessary school supplies and resources needed for a
seamless transition to remote learning.
Our nominee tirelessly made copies of lessons and created packets for
students. When some students were
unable to make arrangements to pick up packets, our nominee delivered them to
their homes personally and safely.
In addition, our nominee volunteered to provide office coverage during the
summer when staff were taking leave and when additional student packets needed
to be made and delivered. Our
nominee had to self-isolate near the beginning of this school year after being
directly exposed to Covid-19 and used this time to train on the new FOCUS
administration software in order to assist front office and records staff upon
her return to work. This enabled
office personnel to get 2020-2021 student records entered more quickly.
Our nominee also assisted the data entry clerk set up the manual student
files for the teachers during the first week of school.
As beginning of the year paperwork was returned to the front office, our
nominee helped disseminate it and sent out information to parents as requests
came in. Our nominee helps to ensure that all security information is
continually updated, and student contact information is kept up to date.
This all is done on top of our nominee's daily support duties with 1st
and 4th grade Math and Reading Comprehension Students and clerical support and
other assigned duties.
