Our nominee has been
employed at our school since August 2014. For the first 2 years, she worked in
our Behavior Focus Classroom as a paraprofessional. During this time, she
quickly earned the respect of those that worked with her and school
administration for her ability to remain calm and professional in all
situations. Within a very short time, administration began to recognize the many
assets our nominee brought to our school and the potential she had to be a
positive influence on a much larger population. In 2016, she was moved outside
of the classroom to manage our In-School Suspension program. She is the perfect
candidate for this position! She has a firm, fair, and consistent approach to
handling the discipline issues in this environment. In addition to this duty,
our nominee covers all classrooms for our weekly MTSS meetings plus IEP and 504
meetings. She assists the school administrators with many projects such as
organizing and maintaining volunteer applications, managing daily attendance and
attendance notes, and many other organizational tasks. Our nominee helps our
teachers out by administering Code-of Conduct tests to new students, running
copies and laminating during her “down time” and a list of other tasks
throughout her day. Her peers recognize her vast contributions to our faculty,
staff, administration, and most importantly, our students! Her hard work and
dedication to our school family make her an excellent nominee for the School
Related Employee of the Year! She is truly our very own Super Woman!
