A heart to serve others
describes our nominee for SREY. Our guidance assistant brightens the hallways
with her contagious smile and encouraging attitude. She serves on our PBIS
committee and reaches out to all students to promote positive behavior
throughout the school. She is available to students who need a little time to
regroup and refocus. Always willing to help others, she is one of our Success
Team coaches.
She meets with students
weekly to encourage them to develop good study habits, organizational skills,
and establish good work ethics. For the past 2 years, she has been one of the
advisers on our Anchored 4 Life team. Anchored 4 Life is a group of students who
teach and model resiliency in our school. With almost half of our students
military connected and our transient population, this team works together with
the students to reach out to all students transferring in and out of our school.
We participate with Outreach Navarre to provide weekend food bags for over 100
of our students weekly. Our guidance assistant makes the labels and ensures that
all the students have food for the weekend and holidays. She also participates
on the Parent Advisory Council which is the communication process for parents
and faculty to learn more about Title I. She volunteers for after school
activities such as Open House and our annual Halloween Dance. Our nominee exudes
professionalism, compassion, and love of children. We greatly appreciate her
dedication to students, faculty, and parents.
