Pam amasses numerous characteristics that have garnered the distinction of SREY. An exceptional employee, she is dependable, punctual, dedicated, patient, generous, and caring. She is truly gifted and possesses incomparable passion and skills as an Exceptional Student Education Paraprofessional.
The students in her charge have demonstrated tremendous growth academically and socially. She was instrumental in designing a behavior plan for one of the “behaviorally challenged” students which has proven extremely effective. In fact, a substitute teacher who worked in her ESE class this year used the behavior plan as an example in a paper she wrote for one of her college classes. Another student she has taken under her wing has raised his reading level by 35 words per minute. Always optimistic, she sees the potential in all students and overlooks the negatives.
She takes pride in her family, her job, her school, her community, and her country. From baking cupcakes and going on fieldtrips, to serving on the school advisory council, to staying up all night at Relay for Life, to sub-netting networks in computer class after hours and earning the distinction as a CompTia A+ Certified Professional she has embodied the model of a Professional Educator.
Because of her willingness to open her heart to our students and coworkers, we feel that she should be honored by being selected School-Related Employee of the Year.
