Webster’s dictionary describes dedication as “self-sacrificing devotion to the cause”. Our candidate personifies those words every day she comes to work. For the 5 years she’s been at our school, she not only goes about her duties with a winning smile and enthusiasm, but often is seen completing projects long after the 3:00 bell. Always attentive to her assigned teacher’s needs, she never misses an opportunity to help lighten their tasks by either working one-on-one with a child or offering her time to supervise the class while a teacher gets a  break.  Her positive attitude and love for the pupils is demonstrated daily as she makes it a point to look for and reward good behavior.  For the past 2 years, our candidate voluntarily took on the monumental task of the computer work required for the end-of-year book inventory.  Her cooperative attitude when faced with a challenge is, “Let’s just do it.”This sense of responsibility spills over into her community; she is block captain in her Home Owners Assoc.  Because of her self-sacrificing contribution to our school, the pupils, parents and teachers are the benefactors.
