Jerri Lay
Printer Assistant II
Locklin Technical Center

It is a privilege to present our 2006-2007 School Related Employee of the Year.  July 6, 1993 was a fortunate day for the Santa Rosa County School District when she accepted a job at our school.

Every item that leaves her department, from the production of the Student Code of Conduct to graduation programs, has her “touch.”  Jerri is the first point of contact for school board employees needing assistance with their particular project.  She gives valuable and creative advice that enhances the finished product.  Jerri has through her job the distinction of serving every school and person in the school district.  The entire district benefits from the services she provides. Her dependability, positive attitude, and willingness to go beyond her expected duties are examples of good work ethics for the students at our school. Her dedication and long hours beyond the school day make her a valuable asset. Every year she is a major contributor of time and effort to the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.
When asked what she likes best about her job, she states, “It’s the people.  I love the contacts I have with so many different people at the various schools.”
