Jesse, our Nominee, for School Related Employee of the Year is an excellent employee who has demonstrated himself to be a highly qualified, dependable part of the Santa Rosa County School District. He does what it takes to get the job done.
During the hurricanes/disaster times he rolled up his sleeves and went to work wherever he was needed. You could find him delivering food to shelters, manually moving food from the sites freezers into large refrigeration trailers to keep the much needed commodities from spoiling or assessing damage to schools and departmental sites.
He brings a positive attitude and energy to his work site, has implemented online sales and boosted Friday Surplus Sales by creative marketing and increasing advertising. He runs a smooth, clean shop and has built and maintains a friendly, helpful relationship with community members who visit his work place.
His co-workers remark on how he leads by example and sees the goal as opposed to the task. “He just rolls up his sleeves and gets to work wherever he is needed”. You will never hear; “That’s not my job”, from him.
Jesse is currently pursuing his Masters Degree in Business Management. He is a devoted father and actively participates with his children in their activities. Jesse showed his community involvement by being a participant with the “Toys for Disadvantaged Children” program.
I am extremely pleased with his performance and am honored to recommend his nomination as School Related Employee of the Year.
