Board Policy on Cellular Telephones - Policy 6.32

The district has two approved cellular phone plans:

District owned phones - which must be requested by cost center heads and approved by the appropriate Assistant Superintendent. 

Employee owned phones - for which a stipend is paid.  To qualify, the following steps must be followed:

• Employee requests Stipend by submitting an application to immediate supervisor.
• Supervisor certifies the need on application, as well as the proper payment coding, and forwards to appropriate Assistant Superintendent
• Assistant Superintendent approves the application and forwards to Human Resources for processing
• Human Resources retains original application
• Immediate supervisor files application with documentation verifying cell phone plan has been purchased
• Immediate supervisor periodically documents by calling or viewing invoice that employees cellular plan is active
• Application must be submitted annually.  Stipends will be paid upon approval through June 30 of each fiscal year.
