MESSAGE FROM GUIDANCE
Hey, Raiders! We still have some schedule changes that will occur in the month of September due to a new teacher being hired, so please be patient and cooperative as we work to create new classes for this new teacher. On a different note, we have four exceptional Guidance Counselors who continue to work diligently to assist you. Please be advised, due to the large caseload, the quickest way to get in touch with your Guidance Counselor anytime during the school year is to directly send him/her an email. If you feel an appointment is necessary, please call the Guidance Secretary, Mrs. Laos, at (850)936-6080 x1127 to schedule an appointment. Thank you! We wish you all the best school year ever!

Logging Into ClassLink Outside of School for Students and Parents (more info)

The PSAT will be held on October 11th for all sophomores. There are practice test and student guides available in the Guidance Office for pick-up (they are not required). There are still slots available for juniors. These slots are first come, first served. There is a fee of $16 for juniors that must be paid (by check or cash) upon signing up. Juniors may continue to sign up in the Guidance Office until all slots are filled. Please contact Mrs. Morales or Mrs. Graham in the Guidance Office for additional information.

We are excited to be offering a new elective class to students of any grade-level! Students who are interested in changing their schedule to be in a newly-created 6th period Creative Writing/Social Media class should sign up in the front office w/ Mrs. Clapp anytime today or Monday. Students will then be called up to Guidance to meet with their counselor to discuss the potential schedule change.

Dual Enrollment Students: If you would like access to school computers at NHS whenever you are on our campus, you will have to complete an Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) and have it signed by your parents. You may obtain a copy of the AUP in our Main Office or on our website. Please turn it in to our Librarian, Mrs. Bannister, so she can set up your account for you. Thank you!

If you teach seniors, please remind them that they can begin signing up for senior picture make-ups today outside my room, room 411. The make-ups will be Sept. 21-22, and sign-ups will be available through Sept. 20 at 3:30 p.m.

About NHS

With an enrollment of almost 2,200 students, Navarre High School is the largest yet youngest high school in Santa Rosa County as well as the most ethnically diverse. Navarre, a small beach town on the crystal waters of the Gulf of Mexico, is nestled between Pensacola Naval Air Station and Hurlburt Field. A high concentration of Air Force Special Forces and defense contractors are stationed in our area. This creates one of the unique characteristics of Navarre High School, which is a large volume of students and faculty transferring into and out of our area from all over the country and the world. We encourage our incoming as well as current students to get involved in school programs and activities, such as NJROTC, Band, Chorus, Fine Arts, Marine Science, Career and Technical Education, and Athletics.
