Welcome to the Elementary Education Department with Santa Rosa District Schools!

Whether you are new to Santa Rosa County schools or you are already one of our parents and need information about our elementary schools, we hope you find this website helpful. If you don’t find the information you need at this site, we invite you to call our office directly at (850) 983-5062.

The Elementary Education Department is a vital part of the educational program in the Santa Rosa School District. This department is responsible for and oversees the operation of each elementary school in our district. We recognize that elementary schools provide the foundation for the future of our students and citizens. In Santa Rosa County, our teachers, administrators and education support employees realize that each student is unique and has different academic needs and learning styles. We are all committed to the shared vision of expecting the best of all students and providing the individual instruction and support each student needs to be and do his or her best in a positive, safe environment that is conducive to learning.

The Pre-Kindergarten Department is not a part of the Elementary Education Department. For information regarding Pre-K, please refer to the Pre-Kindergarten website.

If you are not sure which elementary school your residential area is zoned to attend, you may go to and enter your address.  You would need to click in the circle next to Elementary Schools. The map will reflect the name of the designated elementary school for your address. You may check for the middle and high school zones at this site, as well.

This elementary website provides links to a variety of documents and sources of information. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view some of these documents.

Physical Education Waivers
Students in grades K-8, under certain circumstances and with proper documentation, could be eligible to waive the physical education requirement. Parents should contact their school's principal for information concerning the required criteria to meet this waiver.

Thank you for visiting our Elementary Education site!
